4,465 websites built, four paid

Jernej Jan Kocica runs MojaStran, a small company in Slovenia. Since February, his agents find small businesses in Slovenia and Croatia. The agents collect public facts only: the name, the work, the address, the hours, and public photos. Each agent builds one finished site and puts it live at its own address. Then it emails the owner the link and asks if the owner wants the site. No brief, no meeting, and no form comes first. The counts come from his production database on the morning he wrote the post.

How it went4,465 sites built and 4,104 owners emailed. 2,339 owners opened the link (57%), 138 wrote back, and 4 paid. Total taken in: 636 euros from 4 paying customers (author's figures). Only 746 previews still open; the rest expired. The author says the step from a reply to a payment is still a human talk about trust, and that this is not a business yet.
Try it · based on the source's workflow
Find [number] small businesses in [town or area] that sell [service] and have no website or a weak one. For each one, collect only public facts: business name, what it does, address, opening hours, and public photos. Build one simple finished preview site per business from those facts and put it live at a preview link. Draft one short email per owner with the link. Show me every site and every draft email before you send anything. Send only the ones I approve. Log each business, the send date, opens, replies, and payments in [spreadsheet or CRM]. Stop all sends if I say stop.
