Claude Code
Meeting notes become a daily action list
Product manager Ron Forbes points Claude Code at an Obsidian folder of meeting notes. Through the day he dumps unorganized notes into a raw folder; at day's end Claude writes clean summaries and pulls every action item into one tasks file, grouped HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW with owners and deadlines, using a priority framework he gave it. He later added morning and evening commands, note synthesis across 2,000+ notes, and budget tracking on the same setup.
How it wentHe reports saving 30 to 45 minutes of meeting processing a day, or 10 to 12 hours a month, and 2,000+ organized notes after 30 days. The figures are his own estimates. The setup needs a Claude Pro subscription at $20 a month or higher.
The prompt · from the source
Process all meeting notes in /meetings/raw from today:
1. Create clean summaries in /meetings/summaries
2. Extract ALL action items to /tasks/active.md
3. Group by priority: [HIGH], [MEDIUM], [LOW]
4. Include who owns what and deadlines
Use this priority framework:
- HIGH: Blocks someone else or has a hard deadline this week
- MEDIUM: Important but flexible timing
- LOW: Good to do but no immediate dependency
