One accounting task, 5 minutes a month

Upkeeping is an accounting firm. Its owner gave Claude her raw material: messy point-of-sale reports, a 31-line journal entry example, and the transcript of a training recording that had failed. Claude got the process right. She then had Claude turn the method into a reusable skill. She used the same method for her client communication tracker, transaction splits, and recurring journal entries.

How it wentThe first task now takes 5 minutes a month, per the owner via Gusto. The source does not state the old time for that task, so the saving cannot be counted. She had scrapped a 45-minute training video three times while she tried to document the process by hand.

Learn this monthly task from my raw material: [messy reports], [one finished example], and [notes or recording transcript]. Do the task once and show me each step and the result for my check. Then write the method as a short reusable instruction set I can hand back to you each month. Stop and ask me about any figure you cannot match to the source material.
A starting template based on the workflow the source describes. Review it before you use it; you are responsible for what it does.
